whats everyones 305s running and what are your mods.
mine is a stock 305 tpi. all ive done is ported the upper intake a little bit, accell 8.8 and a msd blaster coil. and a t5 swap.
and it ran a 15.4 at 92 but this is w/ 273's.

I won't run again til I get my posi installed...2.8 60' are craptacular. If it wasn't for them I'd be in the mid 9's in 1/8th mile...I ran a 9.98@74 with a 2.7 60'. Also, my 3rd gear syncro is almost totally dead to top it off.

My best run so far was a 14.9@93mph. Thats in El Paso TX. Thats roughly a high 13 at sealevel. I have sun dried tires so that doesn't help. I just added fully ported heads and polished as well. I got rid of those 1/4 tall walls behind the TB while I was putting the heads on. I have a fully rebuilt 700R4 with 2300 miles and a stock converter. Headers, small Crane Cam, A/C delete, Air Foil and a Hypercrap chip I used from a friend to post that time. Without the chip I ran a 15.0. So I guess it sorta worked. If I can get the car running good with these heads I will run it again within the next week or 2 but for now it is running like crap. I know I didn't hook something up right. Gonna have to look into it.

When my TBI camaro ran good I managed a 97mph in the 1/4 mile. I didn't have much. Torquer S/R heads, 3 inch flowmaster American Thunder exhaust, Accell ignition system, Open air element. 2.77 gears. Stock rebuilt T-5. stock everuthing else.

15.52 @ 88mph. I'm at 1700 ft above sea level. I have 2.73 gears in my car that aren't helping my times either.

I'll have some new ET's here in the next few weeks...I need to tune the engines chip and then take it and have it dyno'ed and then to the track and see what difference my new stuff has done.
my old was a wimpy times were....15.42 but that was with a nasty tune and my first time ever to a track...so it may have been better than that..
Im hoping with the way the car is now in my sig to be deep into the 14's or praying for high 13's that would be great!...Im sure that if I got a stall and new rear gears I would be in the 13's...
whatcha think?

I went 16.21 bone stock today with an lg4. That was an average of 8 runs, on the street, not a track. I'm sporting 14 years old spark plugs and whatnot. Only mod is the 82-84 trans am ram air/ cowl induction setup.evrything else is stock. Well except for a new distributor cap ;-)

My best last year in the 1/8th was 9.65 @ 77mph at the track. On the gtech was a 14.5. The mods for those passes were:3.42 gears, comp cam, no cat and 3" exhaust with flowmaster muffler, K&N cone filter, and et street tires.
I put on headers and a shift kit and the best on the gtech is 14.3@98. Still have to get the chip burnt and hopefully get in the 13's.

before the heads, torque converter, and shift kit, i went a 14.8@94mph. my cam and stock converter did not work well together. now with my heads and converter i spun the tires to a 14.4 @ 100mph on a G-tech. after i get my custom chip i am goin to the strip, hopin for some 13s.

back when my car had a weeohh five..it ran 14.9@93 with the factory leaking exhaust, 12 year old dry rotted tires and a T/O bearing that wouldint pop the pressure plate so teh engagements were weak (it wouldnt break them loose when shifitng)...my 60 ft was a 2.3...
over then next few weeks i added a K&N filter, flowmaster muffler with crappy press bent tubing, a set of tires, a sotck repleacment clutch/T/O bearing and ground down the egr walls...
never touched anything else...no FP or spark adjustments
after 6 runs or so i got er running 14.3's...it was all in the launch..cut a 1.95 best...after i got the launch consistant i went after a hi 13 by powershifting the **** out of it..almost got there with a 14.12@almost 96..then i pulled it out in favor of a carbed LT4...
you have no idea how many people (well drivin LX's, LT1's LS1's) i suprised...
