TPI sending unit numbers

TPI sending unit numbers
I am in the midst of buying the rest of the parts for a 90-92 MAP TPI system for a 5.0L. I am being told that the sending unit for the tank has numbers that must be matched with the harness. I don't know what they are talking about. I have been told that MPFI car's sending unit's would work. So, what do I do, or need to do? Where do I find this number?

What they are referring to is the wiring connectors for the harness. I have the sending unit from a 91 RS in my 89 Iroc-Z 5.7L TPI.

I have three sending units from various engine models for the camaros and they are the same. It is a three wire connector that is the same connector as goes on the Throttle position sensor for a TPI. Here is the three letter code that came off the sending unit of a 85 Z28 with the 305 4bbl carburator. FPG, same as on my IROC-Z.. If you have to change out the harness, it is a three wire harness that goes through the car frame behind the rear seats. It runs along the left hand side of the car up to the wiring junction box on the fire wall under the dash.
