The JEGS 197 cc heads
id look into AFR 210's or Brodix Track 1's
and why not just swap to a 7749 sy/ty ecm. of is the $58 code the 7730 conversion for that. I forget Its been awhile since Ive read up on it.
Im doing a symiler setup.
418cid
Eage Fordged crank
Eagle H beams
JE pistons. stayin around 9:1
Either AFR,Brodex or canfiled heads.
and twin Turbos.
Just gota get off my A$$ and start the turbo headers and coat everything now.

I will use the FMU until I run the $58 code in my 730ECM.
I dont want to change everything at the same time. Will drive with 730 $8D code first and then upgrade injectors and to $58 code...
I was thinking of 220cc heads and maybe a larger cam but I must pass emission and its a daily driven car so I want it to be nice to drive.........

The smaller heads will really choke that engine. I'd go with the AFRs. It shouldn't be a problem with emissions. Keep the cam within reason and make more power with the blower. I'd probably use a 58mm TB too instead of the 52. The blower will want all the intake airflow it can get.

Its diffrent codes in the PROM or chip.
example.
$6E is for -89 MAF
$8D is for 90-92 MAP
$58 is from GMC typhoon allows to program with boost.....
more info is at the DIY PROM board.......

TB too small- yes maybe, if I find a used 58mm I'll probably buy it but it have to wait dont have the $$ for it now..
#30 too small- dont think so, some people have#24 on their 406 and they are in the low 11's........when I go $58 code I'll probably getting $50's....but not yet....
Motown block- the only one I find..........

Since you said emissions I can't say much against it.
If I was buying, and keeping your exact setup heads, cam, blower... I wouldn't waste my money on a aftermarket block. I'd get a 2-bolt 400 or either a 4-bolt 350 and stroke it. Lot of money for something you won't be putting out enough power to take advantage of.
If I was buying, and not using your exact setup, I'd setup that cam greatly, get a larger blower, larger injectors, larger heads and use the motown block as intended. Your talking close to the same costs, only difference will be the huge difference in horsepower. However, emissions kills that, so I can't say much. I have none here.

Cam will probably be a NX276HR 276/288 224/236 @0.050 0.502/0.520 113 lobe.
Hopefully it will pass emission, I think it will be a fun streetcar

30 lbs/hr injectors are fine. 450 horsepower is the limit for 24s, but 30s can go up to 550.
There are a lot of advantages to the Motown block, if you can afford it. It will offer better ring seal, better head seal, and less chance of cracking the deck. This won't add up to big power numbers, but it is good for piece of mind.

Yea, but who wants to pay that much for a block you are only putting 400-500 hp too. I see your point, but a good used 400 core would be fine.

450-500 N/A I have a procharger too.............
Want it to be bulletproof...
Much money, yes I know... but its cheap for me to buy US parts now, 1 USD =7 sek, used to be 1 USD = 10 SEK so the price has reduced 30% last year......

correct me if im wrong, but on a boosted motor you can get away with smaller heads and cam, of course higher flowing heads/cam help with HP, but isnt not as big of a deal as an N/A motor
also i would go with a factory 2-bolt 400 block, have it converted to 4-bolt, and get a bigger blower (D-1)... always go big on the blower, i think its better to run a big blower at low boost than it is to run a small blower at higher boost levels as the air doesn't get heated up as much, and so theres less of a chance of detonation... and of course if you ever want a little more power swap the pullies for more boost

The Jegs 197cc matches the powerband of the superram.....No need to get bigger heads wont rev that much...
Do you know if there is a way to urgrade a blower at ATI?

Regarding the heads,, make sure your low lift flow .400 and below is as good as possible.
