Cam for stealth ram
What would be a good cam for a stealth ram setup
so far im running
- stock 350 bottom end
- pro action 180 cc heads, ported and polished
- edelbrock 1 5/8" shorty headers
- 24 lb injectors
- stock throttle body
right now i have a 218/218 cam but i think it might be a little small.. should i bother to change it or would it be alright?
also what would a good stall to run with this setup?

Whats the lift of the cam? what kind of cam is it? You could always try it and see. Personally I would just go for a bit bigger cam...like a 224/230 duration @.050 and then learn the DIYPROM aspect. Youll never get it to run "right" without doing some tuning.....even with the 218 cam. Good luck....

If you want to stay on the smaller side but still want to make some decent power, you should try the Comp Cams (XR269HR-12).
The LSA on your current cam is not all that great for a stealth-ram. That HSR intake will make peak power in a higher RPM. Hence, the 112 LSA on the cam I mentioned will compliment your intake a little better.
Just my $.02

Yea, I run the next size up in my TPI 355. (XR276HR-12)
Even though I run the bigger one, they are both really nice cams! Just be prepared to do alot more PROM tuning if you go with the XR276 .

I had the XR276HR-10 (110CL) cam on my 350 HSR, It was slightly soggy on the bottom end, but screamed up top. I see you are running 180cc heads. In that case I would go with the 269 cam.

It was slighty soggy down low and screamed up top cause you had the 110 LSA cam. You wouldn't of had that problem with the 112 LSA XR276.

I have a cc306 in mine. I like it a lot. Still needs a lot of tuning though.
230/244 and .544/.576 w/ 1.6r

ive always liked the power number the lt1s can put down with a cc306... can it be run safely with stock lifters??
i forgot to add that im also running a rev kit so that should help a bit
i like the numbers of that 276 cam as well.. but not the price as its like 375 from comp
im lacking any sort of dyno or a wideband so most of my tuning is done on some back highway with a g-tech and that datamaster tuning program.. drivability is easy but WOT is not too fun

260 isnt bad
there is places where you can get them custom ground for like 220$ so i can basicaly pick any numbers and lobe profiles to roll with..but with all that flexibility comes nothing but doubt
i dont want to have to change it so ill do alot of checkin setups before i finally get one
