dual snorkle intake?

Does anyone know if the dual snorkle intake on the v6 and v8 camaro's are the same? Also does anyone know the part number for the tube from the intake to the throttle body for both the mass air and the non mass air v8's.

Would this be close to what you are talking about?

No, they are not the same. The V6 lid has the MAT sensor in the lid (can be plugged, or used). The OTHER problem is that the Stock TPI Bellows dont fit the V6 lid. I'm not sure if it was just a fluke, but we COULD NOT put my sisters intake bellows (Stock 91 Z28) onto my lid. My V6 lid had a larger lip on the front, and the stock V8 bellow wouldnt fit over the lip. I'm guessing with a bit of sandpaper it could have fit, but I went a different route A couple pieces of silicon hose and a section of 4" scrap pipe worked out great!

hmm interesting, my friend used a V6 dual snorkel intake in his TBI to TPI swap without a hitch, MAT sensor and all.

when i bought my car i had a v6 snorkel on there with a MAT sensor in there, but it just wasn't hooked up. I came across a v8 snorkel without the MAT sensor in there so i threw that on without a problem, no mods required at all for mine to fit.

The V6 intakes are more sought after than the V8 ones because of the IAT sensor located in the snorkel which senses cooler incoming air thereby richening the fuel mixture. It's like your own factory IAT relocation kit
