Ive got a question for anyone who knows how to burn chips. I would like to know how long my cammed l98's injectors should be staying on at idle. I've got the tpis zz-409 cam (226 degrees intake, 226 degrees exhaust at .050"). i have an afr guage and i run the diacom software. the car seems to run rich everywhere and when idling it seems to run rich as hell. looking at the diacom the injectors are staying on about 1.4-1.7 m/s, and the afr guage and readout on the computer both indicate the car is staying rich. also throughout the driving range the integrator and blm both stay at 80-90 and 108 respectively. i have a tpis level 4 chip, but it seems that the computer still thinks the stock cam is in there. if anybody can point me in the right direction, i would appreciate it.

You will need to post this on the DIY-PROM board....maybe TRAXION will notice this post. Im no expert on prom tuning but with any cam change on a Speed Density car, you need to tune the VE tables on the chip. Im not familiar with TPIS chips, but it seems like it is way off. I know that a "bigger" duration cam can really affect engine vacuum at idle.....making the car run richer than normal. I would suggest posting this over there and see what the experts(Grumpy and TRAX) think. Good luck......
