165-730 swap now no timing advance
i repinned my 165 harness to work with the 730 ecm. The computer is not advancing the timing as rpm increases. I can set the base timing but when i plug the tan/black wire back in, it makes no difference. It just stays at 8* or whatever. What all would cause this? BTW, everything is in question here because ive never had this car running..i bought the car with a blown motor (L98) and put a new motor in it and also did the 730 swap, so im not real sure if the esc module is good, etc, etc. I just need to understand this esc circuit and how the 730 differs from the 165 as far as the esc goes. BTW i am getting a code 42 and 43. Any help would be appreciated.

did you replace the knock sensor with a 90 up sensor, I had this problem when I converted from 165 to 730, also a bad knock sensor connection will cause this as well
