estimates on 1/4 mile times for a 305??
I'm trying to work out what I might make in the 1/4 mile since I don't have time to make it out to the track to see what it will really be so I thought I'd ask you guys.
My setup consists of:
- 305 LG4 converted to TPI
- LT1 cam
- 700r4 tranny
- 3.27 gears
- Subframe connectors
- 22lb injectors/350 ECM (that's what came with TPI setup...plugged scanner into ECM and I'm not running rich so I'm cool )
Mods to engine besides cam:
- TPS set to .65
- cut air bottoms off air cleaner
I've estimated the car weighs about 3400-3500lbs just from ruff guestimations. So yeah what do you think it will do in the 1/4 mile and any ideas on what I can do that is free/cheap that would help me out a bit.
Thanks,
Mark

My LG4 5 speed with a Edelbrock carb and intake swap, stock manifolds, stock exhaust, ran a 14.94 @ 91.67mph.
I did a TPI swap with cam, TPI heads, SLP Dual CAI, MSD 6A, Blaster 3 coil, Dynomax shorty headers, custom y-pipe, 3" catback, 52mm tb, 19lbs injectors, and I ran a 14.1@99mph with the car running in limp home mode.
Here is a 15.24 run with the LG4, http://www.transamws6.com/video/Manny_vs_Charles.mpg
This is a 15.04 run,

I was kinda hoping there was something I could do that wasn't going to cost that much......while I'd love to do those things I rather don't have the cash to do them right now.... ohwell....
Hey Zepher....Do those headers allow for easy or semi-easy access to the spark plugs?

I have Hedman Longtubes on my LT1 in my 86 and plug access is super easy. I can do plugs in less than 5 minutes.
