You know, I realize I'm showing my ignorance here. I am trying REAL hard to learn about my NEW 89 IROC 350/700r4 by reading posts and doing searchs in the areas of interest. I have many years of automotive experiance including a few years of circle track racing and head wrench on a very sucessful sprint car. But now days, I'm just some old fat guy that is not schooled on computers, sensors, etc and it is very hard to learn what is going on when everybody uses abbreviations of particular items. I know this is beginners stuff, but think back when you were in this position, and had to spend massive amounts of time to figure out what they meant and THEN go back and learn something from the posts you are reading. I know I am not the only one here that is in this situation.

So, PLEASE refer to said item by it's real name and spelling at least once in your post before you refer to it as : MAF, SD, MAP, IAC, TPS, AFPR, ETC, ETC, ETC! If no one else appreciates it on this board, I WILL AND I DO! Thanks for your help.

I agree, good idea. All the younger guys or older guys that are new to fuel injection and computer management will have trouble keeping up with all the technical abbreviations and jargon.

ZAP, check out the Do It Yourself Programmable Read Only Memory (DIY PROM) board. Following along with those guys and gals is like trying to read braille... I am still learning about all that stuff and it can get confusing...
