87 Firebird Carb To TPI Question

I am looking to switch my 87 Firebird From Carb. to TPI,I have a wiring harness from an 89 TPI Car which I think used a MAP setup.I would like to know if an 89 wiring harness and ECM would work in an 87 car.If so does anyone have any ECM part numbers that I could use.

Any info would be helpfull,

Yes, it should work. As far as I know, the change was in 1990, when it went to a speed density system.

What year did they switch from MAF to MAP Sensor?

Transmission: TH700R4

The ECM # that will work for 86-89 5.0 and 5.7 is GM p/n 88999194. This is the new GM part number. The old GM p/n is 16198259. This is only the ECM, no prom. I'm positive these are right, i work at a GM dealership, and I just looked them up
