T.B. Cleaner hurt my motor??

Hey peeps...Need help...I made the mistake of doing a tune up on my ride after only geting about 10 hours sleep in 4 days...Needless to say i changed the cap, rotor and plugs...After all was installed i decided to spray throttle body cleaner in the intake...JACKASS ME not paying attention to what im doing disconects my c.a.i. and starts to spray it into the mass air sensor...After trying to figure out why the car died and wont restart i realize my assinine blunder...I get the car running but there is a hesitation around 2k rpm and the car doesnt wanna rev like it use to plus it backfires a little bit when i let off to shift...I installed a remaned mass air sensor today...I resprayed the T.B. Cleaner again(propperly this time)...Well the car still isnt right...It runs a little better but still hesitates from time to time and still doesnt wanna rev like it should...Has anyone ever sprayed cleaner in the T.B. and had a problem???What else could have gone bad from the spray???The car ran GREAT before i started F'ing with it and now im at a dead end...could it be the O2 sensor...Thanks for any help

Did you check the can to make sure the cleaner was O2 campatible? If not, it could have a film on it. Should burn off shortly and be Okay.

i dont know, getting all that spray down into the engine and then past the combustion chamber without being chewed up and spit out of the exhaust... that wouldnt damage your 02 sensor that bad unless you put a decent amount in. You did spray it in the maf sensor and that could have damaged the maf and now its in limp home mode. That could explain why you are having engine promlems since your computer really doesnt know how much air is coming in. Where in central NJ do you live? one of my friends is coming by my house so we can take a look at his computer with my new scanning cpu. if you wana come check it out, i live in monmouth county. send me a PM and we can talk about it. welcome to TGO and I hope you join our new NJFBA we have going. the site is in the sig... welcome!!

Kind of related to Bigals post, Did you reset the computer after installing the new MAF?
If not, try that before anything.

Disconnct the battery for like 5 minutes, and then go drive the car around for like 20 minutes, so it can supposedly learn your driving style.
