Neither. If it really has anywhere near 400 horsepower, neither chip is going to be anywhere close to what that motor needs.

You can see if anyone in the NJ area can burn you one just to get your car on the road. I dont know of many shops that do it. Best bet right now is go put your old chip in and wait and learn about proms. If you know some CP, then this stuff shouldnt be a problem. Im starting to get into it now that i got my aldl scanner software and cable all hooked up... i just need a solid laptop instead of this huge a$$ desktop..

I'm still running the stock chip with tf heads a decent cam and super ram and no problems. Although I know I am not getting the best results.

Doing the same thing here. I have a custom chip for an 89 but the adapter to my 85 harness isn't correct so I am running the stock 85 Vette chip with my 350..... Anyone got a wiring diagram for an 89 computer???? I've got an 85, 86, and 92 off this site, but no 89......

If you not into the DIY PROM stuff (yeah i know its blaspheme`) You could try Performance resource, to see if they can do a custom job, I only say them cause theyre local to NJ. Then there is Ed Wright. I hear he is one of the best. TPIS also does custom tuning, but will charge you an arm , a leg, and prolly your 1st born too. But if your up for the challenge, get the equipment and make you own.
The stock chip isnt much diffrent than the hypercrap, so they wont hurt the car, but it will hinder performance a lot.
