Car Very Hard to Start When Cold!!
My car seems to have a lot of trouble starting when it is cold. It will turn over a while before even trying to start, then it will usually just try to start and shut back off. Then it will usually start up once I try it again, but it stumbles at first. Also, if it has sat a couple of hours, like when it is still lukewarm, sometimes it will not start at all, it will just sit there and crank until the battery is dead. But, if I pull or push it the stupid thing will start right up. Please help me, this thing is pissing me off.

What is your fuel pressure? Is it low?
I know that if you put a cam/heads in your car you need to recalibrate the chip for the startup circuit. Your car is moving more air and thus needs more fuel for the corect cold start mixture. My acts like it has a carb in the winter. It kind of acts like yours but it does always start, just runs crappy until it wams up.
How fast is your starter turning over? If it's going too slow your starter may be going out too......

The starter is fine, it turns over well. I have most of the stuff to burn my own chips so I guess I can give that a try when I get started and hope that it works. Is there anything else it could be?

start problem
check your fuel pump mayb its going bad
I have a 89 trans am with a 305 tpi with 5 speed
had the same problem as you and it was the damn fuel pump
what your fuel pump might be doing is that it is suckin the fuel into the pump and spitting it back into the tank you might need 2 replace the pump.
that was theproblem with mine fixed it right up
karr
