Engine died!!!
I just got finished replacing a bent pushrod that was causing a mysterious valvetrain ticking. I had the motor idling, and was finishing adjusting the valves, when the motor died. No sputtering. No spitting. Nothing......just died. I figured that it was due to me tightening a valve, and the lifter loosing its prime, but i couldnt restart the car.
I have fire. I have plenty of fuel poressure, but it just wont restart.
I have disconnected the battery and ECU and will retry in a few minutes.
I checked for bad grounds, lose wires, etc.....
What next?

Is this the inital time starting the TPI swap or not? Why did the pushrod bend in the first place??? Over-rev? I hope you didn't hydrolock it from a bad headgasket or anything (which also could have caused the bent pushrod if so)... Good luck man.
BTW, NICE RX7 project!!!

The bent pushrod occured because i used too long of a bolt when bolting on my intake. I had to mod the holes to fit my heads, and the stock bolts were too short. I didnt realize it, but i tightened the bolt right down onto the pushrod. The setup has been running for a few weeks now, but had the ticking. I shortened the bolt, and all was well.....till it died. I was on my last valve to adjust, when it happened.
Im stumped....
Thanks for the compliment!!!!

Man this is weird!!!!
When i first got the car running, i had the fuel pump running off of the cars stock wiring (ran all the time). A few days later, i wired it up to the TPI harness. Well, while i was checking things, i checked voltage to the pump while cranking. There was none. The pump would prime, cut off, and not kick on while cranking. So i sawpped the wiring back to the way i first had it. The pump ran, but the car still wouldnt start. Pressing the fitting on the fuel rail, it doesnt seem to be under alot of pressure. I cranked down on my pressure regulator, but not much help there. I have no way of checking the fuel pressure. I pulled the plugs, and there was no gas on them like there should have been.
Its like my VATS decided to take a dump on me or something.
Any suggestions?
