No Idle
Hey guys I need some input. I did a TBI/TPI swap. Took out the 305 TBI and in it's place put the setup listed below. Now I ordered a custom prom to run this and I can't get the car to run. So I took out the custom chip put in the old 305 chip and have had it running for 2 mins. It seems to want to run better with the old chip even with the camshaft. Give some suggestions on problem areas, I know the cam is horrible for TPI, so should I change the cam and see if it runs, get some larger injectors, get a 350 prom...... or what. Tell me what you think.

You might be better off posting this in the DIY tuning forums, but the VE tables is where I would start. Larger lift and longer duration make low RPM VE (Volumetric Efficiency) go down. Lower these numbers a bit, then test it while watching your BLMs. Guessing by the lift/duration given, I wouldn't be surprised if you need a 20% or more change in some areas across the RPM range. Without a dyno with wideband O2 readout, scanner software, or your own wide band O2, you're just going to be stabbing in the dark. Good luck.

I did her. I got her to idle at 750 in park and I was using the stock 305 chip and 19lb. injectors. She is one mean engine!!!!
