He He!! I was pretty tired last night, working late and trying to get this motor together. Here is some info for ya.

Its a 385 cid, Cola 4340 stroker crank, Eagle 4340 Hbeam rods, SRP dished forged slugs, Comp Cams blower cam. It has exactly 9.3:1 compression ratio. I am building it to be a ballsy blower motor. I will be posting some more pics once the heads and intake are in place. I am using AFR 190s that I ported, and the HSR will take its place on top. Hopefully I will be able to install a blower within a year, but that may not happen for longer because I want to do some other stuff to. The car looks good, but it is in serious need of a paint job. Plus those ASCD hoods have been making me itch. I think some cosmetic work is in order before the blower makes it. THanks for the interest guys. Later...

89irocbeast is doing a similar set up.. i belive his is a 355, but is going with a HSR and nitrous set up. Im not sure of his internals, but he is going with a blower/HSR set up like yours... you think the AFR 190 might hold you back from deep breathing even with the blower? just a thought... i could be wrong...

No, they will work just fine, I think. I have ported them a fair bit. They are a great head out of the box, but there are a few areas that I work in. My mode of thinking with blower motors is to build up a strong foundation and a balanced combo, then put the charger on it and let it do the work. I figure I will have about 400 or better ponies NA once its tuned. With a good ProCharger, it should jump up to 550+ neighborhood. I think I am going to go with an aftermarket computer though. What do ya think about that?

Stay tuned; should have the engine assembled completely by the end of the night!

if you have the money, i would go with an aftermarket computer... but with everyone in the DIY board doing tons of crazy stuff, im sure you could do a lot with teh stock computer. Aftmkt ecm's can be tweeked like a OBDII system and just need a laptop to reprogram fuel curves and other tuning tricks. Id look into it, and also ask aroud the dfi board what would be best for you.... 550+ hp!!! oh yea... sounds like a sweet **** car!!!

I have been burning my own chips since I first learned about TGO. IIRC, the article Trax wrote about beginner prom tuning was how I found TGO. Another thing that I am going to be looking into a lot is the Sy/Ty computer swap. I have read from the 730 ECM it is a breeze of a swap. I do like the idea of just using a laptop to tune the thing though!! We'll see once I get the blower...

Yes, its the Hydra Rev. The idea behind it is that the springs apply pressure directly to the lifter body. This keeps the lifter in constant contant with the cam. It is very helpful because the valve springs would need to be very strong in order to control the valves at higher RPMs. Using really strong springs with hydraulic lifters won't make them long for this world. With the Hydra Rev, the valve springs can do their job better and the Rev kit will keep the lifters under control. But this will be my first time using it...

Should be putting the engine in today, but I don't think it will all be running for about a week. I have to go back to work tomorrow and then I start school Thurs.

I am running a TH350 with 3000 stall. The rear is stock, 3.42 geared open diff. I am planning to look into the G-Force transmission upgrade for my T5 though. And one day I am going to get a 12 bolt rear...
