Throttle body spacer plate for a L98 350 TPI ??!
I found something interesting on Ebay motors. A seller claims this item, a "throttle body spacer plate" will work with a L98 TPI engine and improve hp and torque by 20 points. Now, I don't have this "animal" on my L98 set up, nor have I seen anyone with a TPI set-up use a throttle body spacer ( seen plenty on carburated engines ). I called a couple of local speed shops and both told me no such thing for TPI exists, but for a TBI it does. Is this legit? Maybe it's a typo. I'm wondering if someone is trying to pull one over on us guys with TPI's?

garbage. All it's going to do is make the plenum volume a SLIGHT bit larger, but far too small of a difference to have any noticable effect on anything except your wallet. That's a hell of a lot different than using a carb spacer.

Well I got a reply back from the seller and it seems he honestly doesn't know either. But he included a couple pics of the installation paper and a pic of the hardware.

The spacing is not really going to do much, but what will cause the problem is the "helix" that causes the turbulance when the air enters the plenum when passing over this spacer. One thing you do NOT want is turbulance in that plenum.
