Parts Mismatch??
Well, I got done with my intake and Cam install and I'm not happy with the results. I pulled the motor and polished and gasket matched my heads and put a Comp 08-302-8 cam in. I also added SLP runners and siamesed my base about 1.5" in. The SLP runners were already siamesed in 1.5" in on both ends. The plenum was also ported to match the runners.
The cam's specs are:
Int dur 210* at .050
Ext dur 220* at .050
Lobe seperation 112
Lift in Int and Ext .48"
Othere than that I've done full exhaust. Well, I've dynoed twice and that is what is shown below. The "old" dyno is from when I just had exhaust. The "current" dyno is where I'm at now with the cam, intake, etc.
I went to the track and managed a 14.7@92.96 So as you can imagine I was a bit unhappy. I looked at some data I logged and noticed it was pulling 5.5* of timing out on the 2-3 shift. Since them I've put my timing back down to 6*.
So, I'm curious if I have a large pars mismatch or that I need tuning really bad. Tuning will be my next thing to do because it's bottomed the BLMs out at 108.
Anyways, I'm kinda in limbo about what is wrong. So any light that you can shed on it would be nice.
Thanks,
David

I'm confused here. Your horsepower went from 280 to 330?!? Something does not add up here. With 330rwhp you should have easily achieved better than 92mph. Where did you dyno?
My only guess is that something happenend between the dyno and the track.

Traxion, his hp went from 215 to 240rwhp, I think you were look'n at the tq curve.
I definitely think that most of the problem is in the tune as stated above. At least start from there and move on.
