22lb injectors on 305 if...???........
Would I run into problems if I used 22lb injectors on the 305? I heard that if you do that then you have to change the prom, would one from a 350 work? If it will shove to much fuel into the engine what could I do to make the engine need the extra fuel? Just asking becuase I have a tpi off a 350 and I was planning on throwing it onto the 305 in my car along with an LT1 cam at the same time and possibly if I have the cash a new exhaust. How would this work? Could I just get an AFPR and tone down the pressure?
Thanks,
Mark

You could get away with lowering the FP but ideally you would want to burn another PROM for the bigger injectors.

If it helps any, I drove my car with a 305 for 6 months with 22# injectors. It ran great. I had a AFPR on it and it seemed to run best with a lowered fuel pressure. You shouldn't have any problems. If plan to use the 305 for a long time, it might be a good idea to get a chip burned though.

Well as I would love to get a custom prom I have not the money for one so I'll just have to stick with the stock 350 chip I got with the tpi. Thanks for the input!
