What would cause...

....high voltage at the mass air flow sensor? I'm getting a code 33 that I cant get rid of. I've replaced virtually every vacumn line under the hood....and today, started it up, died....started it up again, idled very very very very low...died....started it up, one foot on gas, one on brake, drove it down the street, let up on gas, stalled at 30mph in OD. Now...it does this sometimes, and sometimes it doesnt. It seems tempermental. I'm getting code 33. If i'm in park or neutral, and rev the motor, there is a significant hesitation before it revs up. But today, the car sat for 8 hrs while i was at work after the first incidents happened, and i started it up, drove it home, revved the motor, and it was smooth as silk.....wtf???? Can anyone help me diagnose/solve this problem because I am getting ready to sell this car. Thanks.

Check the connector to the MAF, pay particular attention to the pins on the harness connector, clean them out with an electrical parts cleaner.

Would that cause my car to stall at 30mph, and do those things as stated above also? Or would that more likely be an IAC/TPS type problem? I wont be able to check that connector before the end of the week. Thanks for the help.

You bet it would. I had a bad connection at my MAF and it would stall as soon as you took your foot off the gas, 30 mph, 60 mph, didn't matter.

Great. I just replaced the MAFS about 3 months ago. Well, hopefully when I go get this checked out towards the end of the week, we can find the cause and it wont be an expensive one. So this could also cause the car to hesitate I take it...floor the gas pedal and it hesitates instead of going right away? I have to get to the bottom of this before I sell the car.

Do a quick check of the pins on the harness where they plug into the MAF. They are female pins, and if you aren't careful putting the connector on, you can bend one of the pins so it is out of round and doesn't make good contact with the MAF pins. This can and will cause a ton of intermittant problems with the car. I speak from experience on this one, it happened to my IROC when it was just 2 weeks old.

Good suggestion. I will check that out either today, or tomorrow since I'm already taking it tomorrow afternoon to a freind's shop. Thanks again....I'll post and let you know what the problem was.
