TPI questions
I'm looking into converting to TPI and I was wondering what would be the best for a street car.
- MAF or SD?
- Cold start injector or no cold start injector?
- What are all the things required to put it in
- and what on earth is a reasonable price to pay for a used complete setup
I have an '87 LG4/auto setup right now.

Whichever setup you come across...use. Probably easier to find a MAF setup, since many more were made.
Only drawback I see for swapping, is the MAF is an expensive part to replace if it dies...plus there's a little more clutter under the hood for the additional MAF relays.
I'd run with/out the CS Injector, use an '89 EPROM if you wind up with MAF...you may have to have the VATs disabled as well.
What you want to look for is a complete setup...all sensors, wiring, ECM, etc...no use having to track it all down later.
Check the classifieds, asking prices range from 300-500.
