Mine fits just fine, was that statement made just about a stocker hood or what cause mine fits easily under my cowl with my HSR..... i guess no need to sell it then yay !

I have a hotchkiss STB, and it barely DOESN'T clear my HSR... could it be that you have rubber engine mounts ([edit] do you have rubber engine mounts?)?

you gotta be kidding me right. I sold my Hotchkis STB because my HSR was on its way and I was told that NO STB would fit. What kind of hood and motor mounts do you have. I have a 3" Harwood hood with Energy Suspension motor mounts. Can I buy me another brace now?

my Jamex bar barely fit under my cowl hood above the mounts on the strut towers (I'm talking less than 1/8" of clearance), and is only about 3/4" above my plenum. There's no bloody way it's going to fit when I switch to a stealth ram.

My hotchkis stb did not fit under my formula hood. I do have energy suspension mounts. My hood clearance is surprisingly bad; even with the plenum milled down at least 1/2" total.

I was just thinking that maybe a really worn set of rubber engine mounts (maybe even the tranny mount as well?) might cause the engine to sag enough to fit the Hotchkiss STB on it. Like I said, mine doesn't fit, but just by a LITTLE bit. I have the Energy Suspension polyurethane mounts.

After owning three thirdgens, I'm convinced that every one is tweaked just a little different.

new motor mounts, and tranny mounts when i did the engine swap, i have energy suspension mounts, and a 3 1/2 " cowl from UsBody. I want to clarify that the fit is really close to the plennum, i mean really close, but it still fits nonetheless, im glad i tried it because iwas going to sell mine too

So does it fit or not??

After i put in new Energy Sus. poly engine mounts my STB would not permit me to close my hood.

I rerally liked the nice chrome bar, but now it sit in my garage

Any trick to make it fit again????

That's a fact.

I have ZERO clearance between my HSR & the stock Z-28 hood. There no way a 1" bar is going in there.

Fact: My buddy's gta has 1/4" more clearance than my formula at the critical clearance point.

So does it fit or not??

The only answer to that is: you'll just have to try and see
