Bought some SVO Injectors... Broken?

I bought some SVO injectors from a guy in the TGO Classifieds. Said they were good. He shipped them rather quick.

Upon examining them, I noticed that they were in good condition except for 4. On these 4, the little plasic "nozzle" tip is cracked, or a chunk missing, etc. See the lousy pic, but you can kind of get the idea.

Do I need to replace these? Will they run fine with a crack like that? And then, where do I get them?

I bought these to go in place of my 19lb injectors with my 305 to 350 swap. Will the tips from my 19lb injectors transfer over?

Anyinfo would be great! Thanks
-Paul

I just got a set of ten of them (in case I break any putting them on) from http://www.lindertech.com for about $20 shipped overnight. They're called "pintle caps". Customer service was excelelnt and they shipped the same day.

EDIT: Here's a tip, gently heat the new caps before putting them on. I'll be using boiling water to heat mine up since some types of plastic can't handle the microwave... Don't ask me how I know.

I might just go with those then.

I went to napa and they have a Fuel Injector Seal Kit.... contains the pintle cap, 2 o rings, and the washer.

Their book said it fit Ford Injectors 86-98... aswell as Chevy '85, 87-88.

I assume that since these are Ford Injectors, and fit in TPI... and my TPI is '87... that the napa kit will work.

The pintle cap from napa, is a little longer than the one that was on the SVO injector. When I put it on, it seemed to hold the O ring in place, before I could move it up and down alot.

Think these will work since I've already got em?

Here you can see what I'm talking about. You cannot compare pintle size because the picture was taken at an angle, but you can see the gap I am talking about with the new pintle...

Mine did that too, mostly from the rubber O-rings shrinking with age. As long as everything is seated evenly, it will work fine. The one thing that isn't quite right is the pintle cap being longer than the old one. That's going to effect spray pattern. In a good or bad way, I do not know. Your best bet there would be to call an injector expert on the subject, or you may be putting them in only to find that the idle quality suffers and have to pull them back out again...

Where the tip of the pintle, meets the tip of the actual injector.... the thickness there is the same. So spray patterns shouldn't be affected. It's just the part next to the o ring that's slightly elongated.
