SuperRam Problems

I finally was able to take the car out this weekend for the first time with the SR and l do not like the results at all. All I did was replace the intake with the SR. I feel there is no power and It shifts really bad. I have adjusted the TV cable like 400 times but I get the same results. It shifts really hard. I feel is has to be pulled out a little more but the TB rachets it out only so far. What to do? Also it seems that If i do get power its at about 4000 and nothing below. The chip was burned for the LTR setup but it should be good enough for now with the SR. Any suggs? Anybody have any prom ideas I could run with? Thanks

I'm half tempted to go back to my Large Tube Runner set up. I wouldnt have intake elbow problems and my STB would accually fit. Oh BTW Heads are TF and the Cam is a 218/224 495/503 112lsa cam.

I dont think you have a bad PROM sor the SR. I changed from LTR to SR with my LTR PROM and got a hugh diff. in performance. My guess is a vacuum leak........

Well I moved my timing back to 7* and I redid the TV cable per Transfixleo's method and it seems to shift better. I'm going to take it out and see how it does.

Double check for all vacuume leaks.

I cant belive you would loose that much perf. with upgrading to a sr.

TPS and IAC adjusted right?

Well the car drives alot better now. It shifts like it used to so thats good. No power from idle to 3000 RPM though, but after 3000 it keeps pushing you back farther into your seat. I know I need a converter and I have a 2600 9.5in sitting in my garage but I didnt like it. I just like idling around sometimes.

If it otherwise runs fine and just seems to be a dog at WOT / low RPMs your problem could easily all be found in the tune. Pump shot is probably way off compared to a LTR setup, which would make it sluggish on the transition. Beyond that, just the shape of the spark curve could be making it lazy to say nothing of where and hw you're adding WOT fuel.

I would suspect the tranny cable hookup on the side of the SR. When I installed my SR, I remember that I had issues with the TV cable. Try different positions, I finally found I good setting. The standard method did not work for me,, I had to do a little experimenting.

You may be too rich or too lean if it takes until 3000 to throw you back with the superram.
