? about MSD 6al install
ok i got it used off a friend and printed the instructions off there website....in the instructions for wiring it to a dual connecter coil 88-92tpi, it says for each connection to cut the stock wiring before the plug on the distributor for instance and reconnect it to the MSD box therefore not using the stock existing wire for the ignition
is this correct, i was told your suppose to just simply splice the wires from the MSD box into the original wires so your still using the stock ignition in a way
so which way is correct, cutting the existing wire and reconnecting it to the 6al or splice the wires from the box into the original wires

I just installed a 6AL and corresponding coil. I used the wiring harness supplied by MSD- it made installation easy.
"so which way is correct, cutting the existing wire and reconnecting it to the 6al or splice the wires from the box into the original wires"
I don't see a difference between the two questions you pose.
Your questions seems to ask the same question twice- Could you re-state?

pretty much what i was asking was if you just cut the wires and run them straight into the MSD box you would only be using the MSD as the ignition
but if you splice them into the existing wire you would be using the stock ignition along with the MSD as a benefit. is this correct?
if so which was is correct

MSD sells an adapter plug that plugs into your GM coil connectors. This eliminates the cutting of your factory plugs. I would highyl suggest getting this. You never want to cut factory plugs of your car if you don thave too.

Summit's MSD-8876 is 27.95. Will save you 0.04 dollars over the Jegs price! Har har....
When ordering you may wish to get a few rev limiter plug-in modules.
I agree fully with Bottled Z's comment on not wanting to cut your stock plug connectors.
More to the point of your question:

I believe the MSD systems actually acts as a supplement to your stock system by enhancing the stock spark signal. I am not sure about this though. Contact MSD for a postive explanation. I do not believe the MSD box is meant to be opened for direct connection.
On my setup (350 TBI) I now only use one plug into the coil instead of two. The other one now goes into the harness connector.
I have my hood off due to engine change. Let me know if you need a pic.

My Local Kragen's stocked it actually any only wanted a few bucks more than Jegmit - Cheaper than Shipping.
If you don't get this, you need to cut not splice.
If I hadnt of gotten the adaptor harness for free, I would have just cut into the stocker - but that's just me.
