Car won't start after sitting
I currently have my car off the road for the winter, its not in a garage, its covered outside. Its been really cold this winter so about every two weeks I'll start the car and let it run for awhile. But I went to start my car the other day and it cranked over a few times and almost started but then the battery died. So I hooked up the jumper cables and it still won't start. It cranks over strong but won't fire, occasionally it will alomost start, kinda sputters. It is getting spark, and fuel pressure is at about 45psi. I know the car is getting flooded, I can smell the gas. I heard if you hold the gas pedal to the floor while you are starting the car it cuts the fuel, I tried that and still no luck. I had a similar problem over the summer and that was because my timing was way off. I don't think it would be the timing again because the car hasn't been driven in 3 months. It started and ran fine about two weeks ago. I have no idea why it won't start, any help is much apreciated. Thanks.

It sounds like you just flooded the engine when you tried to start it with the weak battery. Try starting it with a fully charged battery. Make sure the plugs aren't fouled and the cylinder walls aren't washed down w/fuel causing low compresion. Holding the gas pedal all the way down while starting called "clear flood mode" does shut off the injectors while starting.
Good luck

If that doesn't work check the module underneath the distributor, and then check out the ignition coil. The module can be tested at auto zone for free.
