custom steath ram plenums
I have contacted and worked with several custom intake builders, this is one of several TESTED PROTO-TYPE PLENUMS (unlike the TOTALLY untested PLENUM offered by others made of folded thin aluminum) this one will be in production shortly
A C-4 compatible height plenum that fits the superb flowing HOLLEY EFI STEALTH RAM base yet fits under the stock C-4 hood line
This is a quantum leap forward in airflow over the stock
EFI intake runners and base
The aftermarket base flows significantly more air, than the stock EFI intake
CAREFUL DESIGN changes to the CUSTOM C-4 COMPATIBLE PLENUM designed and tested by FASTERDEALS.COM, INC. Allows a C-4 owner to now fit the superior horsepower potential under a C-4 hood; it has several important design changes to better match the C-4 engine compartment
For EXAMPLE
The rear of the plenum is slightly angled for improved distributor clearance,
The vacuum fittings are moved to the sides for improved distributor clearance, in the tight C-4 engine compartment, the throttle body is angled downward for greater hood clearance the FASTERDEALS.COM, INC design is 3" tall versus original aftermarket plenum which is about 4” inches tall, this brings the height down to about 9” tall to allow the stock C-4 hood to close. (btw stock TPI intakes are 8 5/8" in front and 9 1/2" in the rear)
The FASTERDEALS.COM, INC design plenum will be priced at $249 plus shipping and handling (PLENUM ONLY,DOES NOT INCLUDE STEATH RAM BASE, BASE AVAILABLE WITH CUSTOM PLENUM SHORTLY)

pictures are of one of the final TESTED proto-type plenums, the finish on production plenums will be smoother, these are custom made ! it would cost you over $1000 to have most custom shops build you these but they are in production and will be shipped shortly
as most of you know the stock TPI airflow is the MAJOR restriction above 4500rpm,as it flow only about 180-200cfm, the HOLLEY stealth ram flows more than 50% more air potentially allowing over a hundred plus hp gain with other matching parts that allow the engine to breathe

I would think it would be cheaper/easier/more efficient to mill the HSR base down where the plenum bolts up. No need to remove more than 1" of material. This would provide propper hood clearance (at least in f-bodys) and shorten runner length.

Damn Bort... they said the finished version would be nicer :P

One piece. How exactly is it tested, if it's just a copy of the stealth ram minus its flaws? Seems like it's pretty important to the vette crowd, but I don't see why anyone with an fbody would choose it over the stealth ram plenum unless it's cheaper.

The only reason I can think of is if it would be short enough to be able to use a Strut tower brace!

no theres no removeable lid , that caused potential leaks and bolts that can come loose and get sucked down an intake port, not to mention the lid flexes slightly as it heats even if its up to 1/4" thick
NO you cant mill down the HSR base BECAUSE it causes the following problems
no room for the water neck/radiator connection
throttle body linkage interfearance with both fuel rails and connections
fuel rails hit throttle linkage bracket mount
sensors in manifold hit throttle body
heater hose to throttle body connections hit water neck and sensor connectors
fuel rail mounting bose is weakened
plenum mounting bolt hole bosses need to be extended into ports or new ones welded on
injector port angles would also need to be changed
fuel lines connector tube would also need to be changed
plenum would need to be longer requireing differant air cleaner connector on M.A.F. cars
there are also flow changes in both RPM levels and fuel distribution problems that are caused as the runners get shorter and a loss of low rpm torque
after spending $5000, FLOW TESTING and road testing plus DYNO time, SEVEN BASIC PROTOTYPES, PLUS EXTENSIVELY looking into moding the HOLLEY plenum , I can tell you this is far from as easy as it looks at first glance

Grumpy,
While it's nice to see someone improving on the (few) flaws of the Stealthram, I'm afraid I can't let you advertise this part for free. If I let you slide without paying, then others in the future will be looking for the same chance and no one will ever want to pay for the advertising. Sorry.
