i am going to check if the pump is getting voltage tomorrow and if not ill check resistance between the relay and pump, check the relay and see if the ecu is sending a signal, damn i hate fuel injection, not just one simple thing, i changed the intank filter, the other filter is somewhat new...

IROC,

Monitor the voltage to the pump. If the pump fails to run after releasing the ignition switch, check the relay and auxilliary pressure switch:

could it be the oil pressure switch disconnected or not working?

yes it could be because the oil pressure sending unit acts as a fail safe so you dont kill the motor but it could be plugged from ****ty oil, or disconnected or not working, the fuel pressure regulator diaphram could be stuck...i just dont feel like playing musical sensors...

you can easily eliminate the oilpress switch by bridging the plug with a paperclip or grounding it depending on which switch it has.

fuel pump @@#

you might want to check the module in the distrubutor. It signals the computer on the fuel injectors to be on and working. Also check the fuses and fuses by the battery-it usually is a 20amp fuse. Other things to check a. is the new fuel pump any good
b.fuel pump screen c. fuel filter. d. wiring to the new pump. e. enough gas in the tank? . Also when you first turn on the key you should here the pump come on-a small buzzing sound. If you don't hear it, release some of the fuel pressure on the schrader valve on the fuel rail, if you have any fuel pressure!. If the pumps contantly buzzes, you have a fuel leak somewhere. Don't forget to check how much fuel you have in the tank. Good luck!

do you have anything that is connected to the aldl connector inside the car. Did you have battery hooked up while installing the pump?
