What mods should I make and What kind of HP can i expect?
I just bought an 89 Firebird Formula with the L98 350 TPI in it(paid $1000 for it, i think i got a steal...???) I have some body(paint hood and replace cracking spoiler) and interior work I want to do b4 doing some performance add ons. Im thinkin im gonna start off with add on items such as cold air intake, headers and cat back exhaust. Where do you guys think this will get me HP wise? My goal is 350 HP. What else will i have to do to get there? And should i worry about the suspension b4 adding this power(i think it has the ws6 suspecsion package)?
I know it sounds kinda backwards but i wanted the power b4 the handling...

Probably about 280 after those mods.
It will start getting more difficult to gain the HP after that because of the intake & heads restriction plus tuning limitations.
A good quick and cheap way around this limitation is to put N2O on it and add 100hp whenever you need it..... no getting dirty or drivability problems to deal with.

That's if you like nitrous...
Leave your stock dual snorkel intake, it's just as good as an aftermarket cold air setup. Just cut the bottoms off of the air boxes underneath the filter seat and you got yourself a badass intake. Headers and Catback are a must, so stay with that plan.
After that you got yourself a question: "Am I happy with stock TPI's powerband?" If the answer is no, you need to get some better runners and a good base manifold. Do a search. If the answer is yes, then I would start doing some research and get a good heads/cam combo to wake up the whole 5000rpm powerband.
All of this is assuming you have the car in a decent state of tune. Do a search on TOMPs major tune-up - that covers just about everything you'll need to check/replace to get back into good form.

Oh yes. One more thing. Sometime soon, as soon as you can actually, get SUB FRAME CONNECTORS! They're cheap, and cheap to install. Do not ignore the inherent weakness of our uni-bodies. Get them. Trust me. You'll thank yourself and you're uni-body will be greatful as well.
