how to take out my A/C
well I have air cond in my 305 TA and it doesn't work so the weight is pointless. Is there a sight with detailed instructions on all of the components or how to take it out? thanks

Do you have an '86???
If so, you should have the multi-belt system like I do.
Simply remove the connector leads and AC tubes to the compressor and remove the compressor, goodbye 30lbs.
Remove the radiator to get to the condensor, remove the condensor.
Remove any other AC lines that you can, I had to cut some to get them out more easily.
Just look hard at the AC system and figure out how to remove stuff, its fairly easy.

1) Locate a non-a/c heater box
2) rip out all the tubing, hookups, etc. and toss it. Don't forget to remove the condensor from in front of the radiator. This will help the radiator cool better and dump another 5lbs.
3) get some foam weatherstripping for doors and windows. Apply it around the hole where the blower motor goes. This is so you do not have to buy a non-a/c motor and have to rewire the connector. The A/C style fan motor is taller than the non-a/c motor. Also, the heater box is shorter causing the fan to contact the firewall. This spaces it out while sealing the box from the engine bay.
I weighed everything and the total was 38lbs.
