Progress: my 'custom' intake...
Lol, not much to look at. It's not even the right size or anything... hopefully when finals are over I can mess with it on the car. I'm gonna just take the ribbed boot with the MAF on the end, and just bend it to attach to the short bent end. Then I'll trim the really long piece down and I guess I'd be done with it.... any comments/suggestions? How does my plan sound, if you can understand what I'm trying to say, lol. I'm going to have it powder coated later, the ruby red like Advanced Engine Management's intakes are. So far, it's costed:
generic cone filter: 21$
pipe: freebie(from old blowmaster catback, never used)
powder coating: should cost about 25$

Cool, did you steal that out of Kragen's import performance Section?
What the import guys Call an intake, Most Domestic folks barely consider a mod worth mentioning...
This is what I call a custom intake:

Well this is technically custom, and it's cheap. I'm in high school and don't have the $ to spend on something that massive... This should help my car sound a little throatier, and couldn't really hurt performance...
If you want me to get a custom intake manifold, give me the money and I'll be happy to pick one up.... individual runner fuel injection perhaps?

Is that a functional intake? Looks badass and all, kind of like "Dual Plenum Tunnel Ram" but wouldn't one run into the same problems as the TBI guys who have tried over and over to make a dual TBI system? So does it work and all that stuff? =)

Nice job on the intake (or whatever everyone wants to call it...), Hg, here's mine.
