It's not always compatible. The intake I got from John won't fit on my Sportsman II heads. The water ports stick past the lip of the intake.

Odyssey,
It may have been a problem since your Sportsman II's were fully ported. Normally people don't enlarge the water or EGR ports but your's may have been touched.

I would like to hear from people with stock Sportsman heads and see if the fit was satisfactory.

I have had two complaints about the large water and egr ports on Dart heads. The LT1 intake cannot cover those ports.

If the builder can weld aluminum then none of this will be a problem. All that would be required would be add some weld arount the edge if the intake only in the areas around the water ports and egr ports.

I still think it's cheaper the a Miniram.
