High idle problem

I am having an issue with my motor idling high from time to time for what seems to be no reason. It has been happening from about the time I put my motor in that’s been over a year now but because of constant problems (3 broken 700R4's, a broken ring gear and more) I only have about 6k on the motor and am just now getting around to finding out what is. I thought that my TB (58mm Accel) was sticking but I put a heaver return spring on it and it made no difference, I have no vacuum leak that I can find so I at a bit of a loss. I remember a few years back there was a recall that required a ECM reprogram (newer OBDII) to adjust MAP for a similar problems, any idea's?

I had the same thing in my GTA and I just put a new ECM in GTA and it took care of it. But I had a lot of other problems as well (no ALDL data, hesitation, poor performance, ran like crap when it was cold) But I reused the factory PROM so there wasn't really anything reprogrammed about it. Just a thought.
