SLP Cold Air - Remove the Canister?

I just bought a used SLP Cold Air Single Inlet system for my 87 GTA. I have a question. Does anyone know what to do with the fuel canister?

The SLP filter box takes up the entire area that used to have the stock filter box and the canister sitting next to it...

Anyone have any pics of one installed?

Thanks in advance!!

I don't have access to pics now.. but I moved my canister about 1 foot directly below where it sits stock, on a brace that is diagnonal from the lower area of the passenger fender to one corner of the radiator area. All the tubes and connectors didn't need to be added to, just simply re-routed below. Hope that helps a bit. If you have follow-up questions I'll be happy to try and field a few

Below meaning out of sight? Like below the steel that the bracket for the stock air can and canister sit??

Does this SLP kit work

for an IROC 350 with a TPI on board ? I just broke my air snorkel and I really don't want to spend 50 bux on that cheap *** piece of plastic if I can get a better replacement. (SLP CAI kit)

It works... from what I understand, you have to relocate the battery to the trunk though...

I just installed mine and initally put in next to the battery, but that was a bad spot so I just got rid of it.

they should have sent you some relocation vacumn and wire lines with the kit. i put mine just in front on my battery and used industrial zip ties to hold it down. wrapped them around the wiring harness that runs on the frame rail. then ran the new vacumn lines under the throttle body with the rest of the wires under there. hope this helps

FUEL CANNISTER RELOCATION

I put my canister underneath in the nose section. There is a brace there and just used a large hose clamp.(actually 2). I had to lengthen the wiring and got new longer hoses but the cost was cheap. You can see the area if you look thru the hole where the hood connects in the down position.

Which kit would I need, anyone know ?... ( I have already relocated my battery to the rear) They have a couple listed on SLP's site, unsure which I would need.

Depends on the year of your car. Either go online to SLP and look it up (http://www.slponline.com/powersearch.asp) or give them a call...

I just bracketed mine to the driver side near the strut tower. I had to make longer hoses and loom the wires. There's too much junk in the way to put it where SLP says to.
