Injector change

Getting ready to replace my injectors and was wondering if I need anything new for the install other than.........Upper Plenum Gaskets and Injector O rings

Where would be a good place to get the O rings since I am uning a set of used injectors I want to make sure they seal fine.

Thanks
Brian

Hey Brad, I just did a FI swap on my car about a month ago. I bought some used 24lb LT1 injectors off of ebay. The guy said they had about 32K miles on them. The o-rings where in good shape so I just used a little silicon grease on them to help lubricate them and I have not had any problems yet. If you are going to a different size injector, I would recommend installing an adj. fuel press. regulator. Other than that, the gaskets is all you really need. While you have it apart, that is a good time to clean your lower intake and maybe do some polishing. If you have any other questions, just post them.

OK thanks. yeah I am staying with the 305 19# ones since the car is not going to see a 350 any time soon but I do have the AFPR waiting to go in. I just want to boost the performance and I repair.

Thanks

Get the o-rings from GM. Just make sure you get the blue ones.

When I got mine I just asked "are they the blue ones"
They were blue. Just make sure they know you want the blue ones.

if you do a search on (IIRC) "blue o-ring" on this board there's a good thread that has all the dealer part numbers for the injector and fuel rail o rings.
Or you can just go to the dealer and have them look it up straight up. Even though i had the PN when i bought my last set, i still let the guy look it up becuase it only takes them a minute, and they usually don't believe you and get confused if you hand them a PN yourself.
BTW, the injector o-ring kit is around $20. I guess thats a good business to get into, lol.
