Air box from GTAuto..

Has anyone purchased/used one?
I'm trying to find out if it's better than stock, and how it compares to a home made CAI kit..
I tried a search, came up with nothin', so any help is appreciated.

Car: 2006 Tacoma X-Runner
Engine: 4.0L DOHC V6
Transmission: 6-Speed Manual
Axle/Gears: 3:15 LSD
I haven't tried one of those but I do like my custom CAI. I would say go for the homemade intake. Mine cost me $42 and is doing a great job plus there was a noticable power increase

If you've got the RAII hood....get the airbox. I' m thinking that when I get my RAII, I'm going to hook up a solenoid and 2 block off plates so I can still drive in the rain.

Get that airbox!

ram air vs. cold air

i would rather have a cold air intake than a ram air intake, a cold air intake would help you all the time and the ram air would help you when you are hauling a$$, so get a cold air, and get it homemade unless you wanna spend like $200 on and SLP cold air intake...AARON

i like the ram air setup over cai.

i had cai u have to watch out for puddles in the rain or u will suck up alot. the company i bought the hood and ram air setup said a k&n filter will be fine in the rain. so its safe to have. but sorry for posting the car.
