cc305 cam install on TPI????

cc305 cam install on TPI????
I heard there needs to be modifications to the cam because its a bit longer than a regular L98 cam. What needs to be done? HELP!

FWIW - on one engine that I was working on we were not able to tap the dowel pin in. So, we wrapped up the cam real good and used a whizzy wheel to cut the pin and then a file to bevel the edges. Worked like a charm. However, you shouldn't need to worry about this if you are buying the cam new. You can order that cam from Comp Cams with the correct length dowel pin.

Glad traxion brought it up. I also had to cut the pin down to the correct size after trying to drive it farther into the cam. I wasn't aware that you could order it w/ the shorter pin. Good to know.
