if I remember correctly they claim those runners are worth 19 hp, well I ported my base and added those slp runners and got about 5-7 hp gain, it was not untill I ported the plenum and the SLP runners and siamesed them for over 1.5 inches that I got the full 19-20hp, yes they help but I swapped to a steath ram and the differance was like 68hp over the TPI set-up, now I payed about $275 for those runners, did alot of porting, then I swapped to a much better intake and spent about $475 for the steath ram and fuel lines, for the extra $200 the steath ram is bye far the better deal, DOUG over at holley got 62hp on a totally stock engine with the swap to the steath ram, so my results were not out of line (since I have a 383 with big port heads) moding the TPI is basically wasted effort now that the steath ram is available

first think over what your goals are, while the steath ram will most likely give you an additional 50-60 plus hp (maybe more if you have a good cam) in the 4500-6500rpm range it requires headers to work correctly to its max advantage(what goes in must get out) and it will lose you some torque in the 1500-4000rpm range also, so keep that in mind. if you have a reasonably high rear gear like a 3.42-4.11 the steath ram will really help your performance, but if you have a rear gear like a 2.87-3.07 and you rarely get into those upper rpm ranges even when racing, you won,t be taking addvantage of the much greater air flow potential the steath ram provides so it won,t help you that much and porting the plenum, base, and runners are the best choice. short answer,if you want to build that 350 to over 400hp the TPI is killing you, go with the steath ram, but if your looking for low rpm torque the SLP runners and EXTENSIVE PORTING will help more below 5000rpm
