LT1 and Emissions: anybody deal with this yet?
So I did a search and I found alot of ideas on whether or not the LT1 intake would pass emissions but no hard evidence. Millican says that it wont.
I want one BAD but I live in NJ Has anyone tried to pass emissions or what can I do to try and pass?

The only real reason you won't pass is because of the visual inspection.
Proper tuning might get you by the sniffer inspection.

LT1's do have EGR. It is located at the back of the intake and recieves the exaust gases thru a tube connected to the exaust manifold. The valve is removed for the conversion so the distributor will fit.

John, We dont have a visual inspection under the hood. Do you honestly think that it could pass with an LT1, AFR's, and a CC305 cam with proper tuning?

I have heard of people doing it, just not with the LT1 intake. They have passed without EGR.
I don't live in an area where the are ANY inspection so I don't have first hand experiance.
Maybe somebody that has will chime in and tell us.
