Show me or tell me about your inline pump mounting!

I am looking for pics or descriptions of mounting locations. Also, if you installed it in the rear how did you hook up the lines? Maybe some of the ATI guys can chime in, as I thought the kits came with inline pumps. Does it matter if the pump is before the filter? I know the stock pump is but maybe the inlines are more sensitive? I use my pump as a booster. Thanks

Why do I flare the steel line I cut?

you use a single flare and then put the fuel injection hose over it.....if you dont flare it, it could leak gas

also, you dont have to drill 3 holes. My ati bracket had 3 holes, so i just said it cuz that is what i had to do

yeah, but there is a sock filter inside the tank that attaches to the fuel pump.

Yeah and the inline pump will be also subjected to the sock. What is your point?

My point is that even though the stock filter is after the pump, the sock in the take is still filtering the fuel before it goes though the pump. It is a pre filter. so no matter where you put the pump it is always a good idea to put a filter before the pump.

No big trick

It is my understanding that the filter is more intended to protect the fuel injectors which really, really don't like dirt, rather than the fuel pump. The sock, a 40 micron "filter", is just in place to keep the 5 micron fuel filter from clogging. The only problem with placing the aftermarket fuel pump before the filter is that, under high pressure, your aftermarket pump will be much more likely to cause your fuel filter to burst due to it's ability to pump to higher pressures, and the stock filters' limited volume potential. My vote is after the filter to be on the safe side.
