I have no idea, but you can measure the lobe height to see if it has the correct lift.

is the guys email "fastbroker" ?? If so, I bought that cam from Scoggen Dickey as a takeoff, and sold it to him. I saw him reselling it later on saying he went with something bigger, which sounds like this same story. Of course it could be the story for 500 other ppl too....who knows.

So if that's the guy, yes it is definitely a ZZ4 cam.

ZZ4 cams will have either a pink or green stripe at the end. It's pretty wide so you can't miss it. If it doesnt have that, it's most then likely NOT a zz4 cam.

Yes like that. That looks red to me though. My ZZ4 cam had a pink stripe like that. I'd say measure the lobe and find out what the lift is. If it's correct then you have yourself a ZZ4 cam, since the pic definetly shows a billet steel roller camshaft.

u r sofa king we tah did:
"210 99R 071 FM69

that is the numbers on the end of the cam"

Did you ever find out anything about this?

The numbers on the end of mine are:
062 99L 586 FM43

I'm also wondering if it is a zz4 cam or if someone sold me a GM roller out of a production car. I have no reason to suspect the seller, I just refuse to go through a cam install without verifying that it is the cam I think it is first.

Thanks Don.

GM Performance Parts Online - LT4 HOT cam kit:

This kit includes the following items: one camshaft P/N 24502586, 16 roller rocker arms kit P/N 12370839, 16 valve springs P/N 12551483, 16 valve caps P/N 10212808, 16 valve keys P/N 24503856, 16 valve spring shims P/N 10212809.

Looks like I have a HOTcam that I figure is too big for me since I haven't gotten into the PROM burning yet. Guess I'll be selling it & looking for another zz4 cam.

If the rest of your engine is set up to handle the cam, by all means put it in there!!! A custom PROM would benefit either setup (and is necessary for either one IMO) so the cost of the PROM is awash.... Don't go too small on the cam (if the rest is good to go of course) or you will regret it!

My engine is stock (167,000 miles) except mods in sig. below. I do have a set of vortec heads waiting for when I rebuild the engine. Planned to use them (with matching base) along with some aftermarket runners, and about 1/2 point more compression, and a ZZ4 cam with 1.6 rockers on the intake side. I figured this should be close enough to stock for me to get by with my stock PROM and an AFPR since my car uses a MAF sensor. I was allready wondering if the ZZ4 cam was gonna run right without programming!?!?? I bet the HOT cam would give the stock computer fits, but I have no experience with camming an injected car.
