Tpi....still Need Answers
I am currently putting TPI on my car. (still) ... Anyways i have everything on the harness figured out, one problem though..PIA VATS. My scanner keeps reading "VATS FAIL". I am a locksmith and understand the vats system, just not a mechanic. I read the chip in the key blank that i pulled the TPI off of and it read an 11 value. But i still have no power at the fuel pump relay. So i hooked my interrogator up to the vats connector under the dash and my scanner read "VATS FAIL" on all 15 values. And yes, i am waiting 4 minutes at least inbetween each value tried. I haven't changed the fuel pump in the tank yet but i still should be able to power up the pump at the relay. So after 2 months of this crap i am going to just get a chip burned w/o vats and w/o the torque converter in it. I need help on finding a reputable place with a good price on having one burned. Hypertech wants like $400 ,sounds a little steep to me. Anyone have any suggestions where i can get one burned??? Anyone who could steer me in the right way i would really appreciate it... Thanks
