I dont know damn thing about mustangs. And I feel dirty doing this but could someone tell me if these are the svo injectors that work in our TPI cars?

Sort of.

The SVO injector flow ratings are for a different pressure. You'd need a chip modification or at the very least an AFPR to lower the fuel pressure so the car doesnt run rich.

Just had those 19lbs injectors installed in my car. They work great, excellent power, idle and gas milage.

won't the oxygen sensor correct for a rich condition by shortening the injector pulse width?

I thought that a slightly higher fuel pressure is better for atomizing the fuel?

But if you guys think I need an AFPR to use these injectors I'll get one. Please let me know.

thanks

02 sensor isn't used as heavily as people think, and is hardly what I'd call acurate. For the most part its a joke

The 02 only works in closed loop, so your engine has to be the perfect temp and usually moving. Then once you go PE it isn't used either, (usually over 70% throttle), so now you have 1%-70% with a moving car at the perfect temp. Then the resolution of the 02 is horrible, from say 350mv-550mv its decent, however "switching", but anything above and below and it isn't very accurate, and nonlinear. Basically the point being, leave as little work to the 02 sensor as you can, get the right injectors, the right pressure, and then sometimes it takes some prom tuning intervention to get things where they should be.

wow, i never knew that. Everyone tells me that the o2 sensor is the most important one....

ok then, how do I "leave as little work" to the o2 sensor with a moddified engine? If I get these injectors, how would I tune it?

Now I have an engine diagnostic tool where I can look at the o2 sensor voltage in real time. When I look at it now, it bounces between 200mv and 800mv a few times a second. I was told that this was normal. Now do I want to adjust the fuel pressure to get this number to stabalize around 500mv? or do I want to adjust it for open throttle preformance? if so, what should it be set to at open throttle?

or am I going at this the wrong way....

thanks

You can tune to a point with an Adjustable Fuel Pressure regulator, but that doesn't really work across the entire rpm band, your only bet is to burn proms, in which case you have injector constants, and battery voltage corrections to help bring the A/F ratio closer to home.

450mv is supposed to be 14.7:1 on our 02 sensors, For WOT you should be up alot higher, maybe 800mv? But like I said, it isn't accurate enough to really put tons of weight on the WOT tuning. As far as Fuel pressure feed the engine what it wants as long as you're staying within reasonable pressures, if you have to really get weird with fuel pressures you're way beyond the point of needing to burn proms period.
