TPI won't start, need help
My car has been running like crap for a while. I've changed all the obvious things and it didn't help. So I bought a digital ohm meter to test my injectors. I had jumper wires between the injectors and the injector plug. I got weird readings. I wasn't really sure ff this was the right way to check them. But then the wire moved and hit the runner and sparked a few times. But I didn't think anything of it. I started the car and it ran worse than before then it died. Then I checked the fuses and sure enough I blew the 10 amp injection fuse. So I replaced it but the car still won't start. I can smell gas when I crank the car, I'm getting spark at the coil and at the plugs and my fuel pressue is good. I called my mechanic and he was puzzled too, but he told me to unplug all the injector wires and try to start it because it was probably flooded pretty bad. So i did that and it started for a few seconds then died again. I plugged the injector wires back in and now its back to no starting and a strong smell of gas. i ordered new injectors but i think I have another problem too. Please help. Thanks.

I had the same problem about 2 weeks ago - I had put in some new Accel injectors and I tore the o-rings. When I would go to start the car it would just **** fuel every where. I had it all over the intake.

I had a similar problem, the problem with mine was I could keep the car running if I keep the pedal down a bit to keep the rpms above 500... the fix was a bad IAC(idle air control)... ask you mechanic about that... try removing and cleaning with wire wheel first. The part cost about 120.00 (CND).. if its not that you may want to check the fuel pump relay and then the fuel pump. Hope this helps for now...
