what heads for my supercharged z?
L98 w/ a D-1SC blower pushing 8#s of boost on a 10#pulley because of elevation. All engine has is headers and 30# injectors. What heads would be right for my blower setup. Any suggestions?

Agreed...both I and a friend of mine own a set of the Pro Action 220 aluminum heads. He is staying carbed in his 83 Grand Prix and is looking to put a Vortech SC (carbed version) on it with his 406.
They flow very similar to the AFR 210s and are cheaper...do a search in this board for Pro Action and look for the long thread started by me for more info.
Good luck.

Go to the power adder board and ask this question. Do alot of research. Go to the Chevy Hi Perfomance web site and check out all the flow numbers from just about every head you can imagine. Those Pro Actions might be to big for your set up if they are 220 cc intake ports. You did say except for the sc , you are basicly stock.

I would also definitely plan on a cam change to maximize the benefit of the SC...
Forced applications tend to be less of an issue with larger port sizes than you would find with a N/A engine...Why? Because the more efficient the flow rate is, the less restrictive, then you end up running a bit less boost for the same HP level.
I would also recommend optimizing your intake setup with something better than stock TPI...that would be money well spent as the runner/base on a stock TPI are VERY restrictive. This means that you will have to run more boost to overcome that limitation and make your wanted power level...
Good luck...

Well first off I should probablly list all my mods so you all can have a feel for what i've got going on. I've got the supercharger, 3.73gears,edelbrock headers,compcam,30#injectors, B@Mshiftkit,B@Mflywheel,2600stallconverter,and the 3 core intercooler. I am Definetly going to get some runners and port the plenum, runners, and intake manifold. I've just heard so many different
opinions on this that its hard to decide. From what it sounds like, the Dart heads seem to flow damn well , the AFR's seem to also. Anyone know how much either of these go for as far as $$?
