Q on 355 vortec tpi buildup
I am building a motor for my 85z28. I am keeping the stock tpi setup(less the manifold and runners) I i have an 89 350 2-bolt main block, stock rods, shotpeened, cast crank, 9:5:1 forged dish pistons, i will be running cast 1.94, vortec heads and a scroggins/dickey vortec manifold. I am running a zz4 crate hydrolic roller camshaft 474/510 lift dur @ .050 208/222, lobe sep 112. i will be running 1 3/4 headers and a custom chip. what I want advice on is has anyone else built one similiar to this? if so how well does it work? were there any problems with the cam? is it wirth changing lift from 474/510 to 506/510 with 1.6 rockers? thanx, hotrod85z

I am running a very similar setup to you except I am using a 305. My 305 works very well wit this setup and I would expect your 350 to work even better. I have a MAS car and my stock chip worked very well with a custom chip only adding a few rear wheel HP.
