Should I go to a carb for the summer?
I have just purchased an 89 Iroc with a superrammed 406. Don't have a clue what's in the motor? All I know is that it has Trick Flow 23degree heads. It's running like poo, and everyone is saying I need to know what's inside the engine to do proper tuning. I really would like to play with this car for the summer. I would eventually like to go back with the fuel injection later. The car has a Tremec TKO tranny, so no problems there, and I live in Oklahoma, so there is no emissions testing. My question is: is this job gonna be so big that I'll never want to put the efi back on the car? I was thinking maybe I'd pull the motor for winter, see what's inside of it and make personal changes(I want a roller cam), and reinstall the superram with speed density conversion??!! Thanks for the help!

To keep EFI on top of a 406 you've gotta put some money and effort into it. I'd yank the intake and go carb, you can tuck the harness out of the way and leave your knock sensor/temp sensor etc etc in place.
You just need accomodations for the fan
That car should scream with a carb on it

I have a 600 double pumper, fuel log, performer RPM manifold, an Hei distributor, and an accel coil Edelbrock air cleaner and K and N filter element that I just pulled off my car.
