i smoged my car and now its time to loose some WORTHLESS PIECES OF HEAVY CRAP that take up room in the engine compartment. its an 88 with the serpintine belt, i would like to get rid of everything except for the heater...it gets really cold in chico. what kind of belt do i need if im gonna get rid of the smog pump and the a.c.? thanks.

I have the VBelt system on my car, so I can't help you out with that. There is a tech article about the belt that can help you out.

Some good ways to lose weight off your car is your a/c system if you do not want/need it. Your smog stuff, Aluminum heads, headers, light weight buckets, backseat removal, aluminum drive shaft, coil over front suspension, lightwieght battery (or relocate stock one to back for better wieght ratio), any uneccesary insulation. Under carpet, dash, hood etc, fiberglass hood, aluminum calipers etc etc. Depends on how far you want to go. If it's strictly for the strip, you can take off your front sway bar, bumper etc as well.
