runs rich low blms, how to solve the riddle?
hey guys
dont mean to take up more room or sound mean but though Id get better results here.hey guys
At idle and when the car warms up the blm is about 100. The car does idle a little rough, but no hesitation or miss.
checked fuel press ign. on 41 psi, at idle 37 psi, and idle vacum disconnected 44 psi. Pinched return hoes and jumps to 75psi+.
Fuel press reg hold vacum and is not leaking. Fuel press reg. vacum source is approx. 18 inches. Evap is not purging at idle, no change with evap disconnected.
I did get a code 33 high circuit voltage but i think its a false code because map is in range.
O2 crosscounts are very low and slow so O2 is probably shot.
Theres also about 225K on the motor.
I did perform a injector flush yesterday and engine does seem to run better while driving but not when idling. If the injectors were to leak down then it would cause a hard start problem right, it starts fine cold and hot.
**update** changed O2, and code 33 was false. Car run alot better but blm still at 100.
One more thing, when the gas cap is removed there is no sound of pressure escaping, If the pressure is escaping with the evap have to purge?
any ideas or suggestion will be greatly appriciated!!!!

Hmm, Well I can only help so much here being a TPI nebie myself, but ive read a few things...
The Min BLM level is 108, So when you say near 100 is that what you mean ?
You replaced the o2, and your still gettting LOW BLM's ?
at idle, at cruise, everywhere ?
I would either expect exceptionally high fuel pressure, Or poor injector behavior.
Since you have verified that hte fuel pressure isnt ludicrously high, I would suspect those injectors.
They have 225k On the clock as well ? Might be time for a flowmatch / rebuild
