Ways to make my engine run leaner
I was wondering what all I could do to make my car run leaner? I have my fuel pressure set to 50PSI, I love the way it idles and the better gas milage and that much PSI but when I take it out of closed loop(gas to the floor or close to) I start to run rich and it kills performance. I was thinkin a hotter coil to burn the fuel better..... any other things I cna do beside lower the pressure?
thanks
thanks

The ONLY way to correct for the increased FP is in the chip.
Let me repeat, the ONLY way to compensate for the increased FP is in the chip.
One last time cuz i know somebody will think they have another answer. The ONLY way to adjust your AFR (besides turning the FP back down) is in the chip.

Well, you could do it by tuning your chip...
Or,... you could do it by tuning your chip.
Or you could just do what Ed said and tune your chip.
The chices are easy, Its up to you!

With your foot to the floor you're running in "Power Enrichment" mode, also controlled by the chip...
the chip...
the chip...
EDIT: By the way, I have the same problem as you do with running rich in PE. I increased my spark advance a couple degrees and adjusted the fuel tables a little. (Mind you this is for my 1/4 mile only chip and is experimental.)

Well there is one other way, you could create a vacuum leak
But somehow I don't think that's what you were looking for. Sorry Ed, just had to yank your chain a bit.
